FAQ

Q:  Which airport is the closest?  
A:  Pescara is the closest national airport which is 20 minutes away. If you are flying in from an international port, you'll have to use the Rome Fiumicino or Ciampino airports which are about two hours away.

​Q:  Do you provide airport transfers?
A:  No, the ProntoBus runs regularly from Fiumicino and Ciampino airports.  For more information see:  www.prontobusitalia.it   There is a button to click for English.


Q:  Is there public transportation if I don't rent a car? 
A:  Yes, there are comfortable buses to Rome and Naples on ProntoBus. There are trains to Pescara (the beach), trains to Florence and locals buses to surrounding villages.

Q:  How far away is the beach?  
A:  The Pescara beach on the Adriatic Sea is about 30 minutes away.


Q:  Is there skiing nearby?  
A:  Yes just 20 minutes and you are in Roccaraso (famous ski resort in Abruzzo).


Q:  Do all the rooms share one bathroom?  
A:  No, we have 2 double rooms which are en suite and two additional full bathrooms for the single rooms.


Q:  Do  you have air conditioning in summer and heating in winter? 
A:  Though AC is not normally needed, we do have 2 double rooms with AC and  yes underfloor heating downstairs and warm radiators in the winter months.


Q:  What is for breakfast and when is breakfast served?  
A:  Breakfast is usually served between 7 and 8:30 am, but if you have an early flight or want to sleep in we can arrange a breakfast time that suits you.  We usually have an assortment of cereals, pastries, yogurt and fruit, meats and breads, "On Toast", Cooked Breakfast, Italian coffee or tea, juice and milk. 


Q:  What happens if the weather is not cooperative? 
A:  There are plenty of indoor activities if the weather rains on our parade.  Wine tasting, cooking classes or museum visits to name a few.  We are prepared for all kinds of weather!!!
